Petition from Hc Junks’ father accusing a youth of holding his daughter captive | Bhopal News

Bhopal: An MP high court division bench has dismissed a habeas corpus petition filed by a person accusing that a youth from his neighborhood fled with his underage daughter and was holding her captive after the girl appeared in court in court and said she was living with her mother, who separated from her father.
The petition filed by a resident of Jabalpur says his 16-year-old daughter has been missing since May 11. He had filed a complaint about his missing daughter at the Bargi police station. He also told the police that a young man named Sarfaraz, who lives in the same locality, is also missing. The police registered a case against unidentified people and did not interview members of Sarfaraz’s family. The petitioner said his estranged wife, who lives separately, also called after her daughter went missing, but the police did not question her either. The girl was produced before the bench of Judge Sujoy Paul and Judge Nandita Dubey.
She told the judges she was with her mother. The court, while considering that no case is established if the girl lives with her mother, rejected the request, leaving however the freedom to the applicant to explore other legal options available to him to obtain the custody of her daughter.
